However, unhealthy lifestyle like excessive drinking, being overweight, too much stress, anxiety, sunburn, and some medications may be the factor as well.

There are plenty of medications, creams, pastes, gels, and lotions out there to cure psoriasis. Most psoriasis sufferers understand that it is vital to keep the skin moisturize all day long, therefore they put lotions and creams on their skin. However, most of them do not know that putting lotions and creams can never moisture the skin from the inside. You see, when you are not drinking enough water, your body is dehydrated, no matter how much lotions and creams you put on your skin, your skin is still dry and flaky. Drink at least 8 glasses of water is a must for psoriasis sufferer and for those who wish to maintain a healthy life. Shower or bath should be short, bathing time between 10 – 15 minutes is recommended. Try showering in lukewarm water, as lukewarm water is gentle to our skin. You may add in olive oil, or vinegar, or mineral such as natural salt into your bathing water, as this can relief the itching and inflammation. Remember to cover up your skin with lotions right after showering, because this can lock in the water in your skin.
